  • Band Director Announcements

    • Matt Brown fundraiser went really well. Really proud of how our kids helped with event

    • No concerts in January

    • Winter guard and indoor drumline are going well.

      • Still going really well. Thanks to everyone who has helped out so far this season.

  • Old Business

    • New Marching Band Trailer

      • We are looking at getting a 42’ x 8’ cargo trailer

        • Gooseneck trailer w/ramp, side door, LED lighting, spotlights on back and side, hydraulic landing gear.

        • Will have additional 6’ of floor space over current trailer and 8’ in front for drum storage

        • Current trailer trade-in value $3,000. Could get possible $3,500 to $4,000 if we sell outright. This trailer is 16 years old.

        • Cost for new trailer would be $19,040 with all options

          • We have $9,830.07 from auction already

          • Takes 8 – 10 weeks to come in once ordered. Payment due upon delivery.

          • Fundraisers planned for balance: Malley’s chocolate and plant sale with Boyert’s. Will also try another gofundme.com account

      • Jen Hamey has drawn up new by-laws for us along with confidentiality forms for board members.

      • Handout provided with info on trip

      • Quoted cost currently $650

      • Matt and another band dad will drive trailer down

      • Those flying will be limited to one piece of checked luggage

      • First deposit for trip due April 1st

    • Background checks

      • In order to be a volunteer with the CMA, parents will have to get a background check. These are available through the Treasurer’s office for $25 and must be submitted along with application to Superintendent’s office. Once board approves, they will provide a list of approved volunteers to teachers.

      • Anyone who will be working with students without teacher direct supervision will need to apply for level 2 – volunteer chaperone. This includes uniform/hair parents, parents riding the bus, and the culinary crew.
