Attended: Andrew Winter, Mark Winrod, Paula Winrod, Louise Reed, Karen Gingrich, Kent Davis, Michael Green, Tina Bundy, Linda Drogell, David Drogell, Melanie Strehle, Jennifer Bryant

Meeting called to order: 1915

Meeting Minutes for September 14, 2020: 

  • No corrections or additions to either minutes
  • Motion to approve Paula Winrod; seconded Karen Gingrich; motion carried

Financial Report: 

  • Reviewed finance report: motion to approve Louise Reed, seconded Melanie Strehle; motion carried

Music Director Report:

  • Stadium Review – went well
  • Playoff Games – if win this Friday; schedule to be determined. If lose this Friday, will have two more games. 
  • CMS – going well; bands are progressing; no determination regarding winter concerts
  • CHS – unsure about concert schedule with meeting only once a week. 
  • Booster Ad – approved to do a senior shout out in yearbook; approx. $175.00
  • Truck Maintenance – battery, oil change, brakes, hydraulics; needs to be done
  • 8th Grade Interest – keeping interest alive for next year; promo video with trailer going to be done last week of marching band; marketing on new band website
  • Virtual OMEA solo and ensemble planned for winter

Fundraisers:

  • Wrapping up cheese/sausage and band swag fundraisers – plan to do this fundraiser completely online for CMS.
  • Marching Band Trip – get out information so parents can plan financially if trip is realized in June 16-21, 2021; need to verify it does not conflict with French trip
  • Plan to do a day of donation on new band website; tie in along with the promo video

Old Business:

  • Football games update – covered under Music Director’s report

New Business:

  • Nominating Committee – need nominations by next meeting for President, Treasurer, Member-at-large
  • Drama Club and Basketball concessions – waiting to hear if this will be possible
