Meeting called to order: 1902

Meeting Minutes for September 20, 2021: Minutes reviewed; motion to approve Jen Bryant; second Carmen Ethington; motion carried

Financial Report:

  • Reviewed finance report: motion to approve Carmen Ethington, seconded Adam Bryant; motion carried
  • $26,871.68 total in bank

Music Director’s report

  • Thank you to all parent volunteers
  • CHS marching band qualified for state competition 39 years in a row
  • Will compete as a class ‘A” band for next 2 competitions and at state competition
  • Class determined by school size, not band size
  • Itinerary mailed out for next two competitions
  • Friday night game – trying to get a team to play; scheduled was adjusted for COVID and other factors
  • Senior night – plan for celebration no matter what; flowers ordered; cookies planned for
  • Stadium review will be on Thursday, November 11
  • Reviewed and discussed blueprint of new high school band spaces
  • December concerts – CMS will be December 15yh; CHS will be December 10th

Fundraisers:

  • Malley’s not doing fundraisers this year
  • Sausage/cheese fundraiser completed – total raised $4,222 with profit $1,688.80, mostly student profit
  • Dinner/Basket auction – November 13 at the Lafayette Methodist Church – will send out information , signups, donations this week; each section has a topic for a basket; students need to provide an item
  • Final due date for Florida trip payments November 18, 2021.

Old Business:

  • CMA needs to purchase new pop up tents for Cavalcade next year (either 10x10, 10x20) – Louise to price

 

New Business:

  • Concessions for drama club – 11/3 thru 7; sign-ups in Charms
  • Winter Basketball concessions will be starting in November
  • OMEA fee – pay for MR. Greene membership
