7:05pm meeting called to order

 

Attendance:

Barb Zimmerman, Andrea Kacinari, Joe and Lora Fetzer, Dave and Carol Robbins, Sharon Rohm, Dave and Sylvia Anderson, Elizabeth and Donna Ditch, Barb Vasil, Michelle Cox, Paula Lindsey, Jeff and Kim Schreiber, Kathy Kindall, Kent Davis, Mr. C., Chip Jenkins, Crystal James.

 

Meeting Minutes were read by Donna Ditch; motion to accept minutes given by Joe Fetzer, seconded by Lora Fetzer.

 

Financial Report given by Paula Lindsey.

  • Operating account has approximately $5,000.
  • Paula explained how the accounts are broken out into separate line items/fund amounts.
  • Insurance bill coming due, and Fair is are our next business expenses.
  • $463 shipping bill for new uniforms. OK to pay.
  • Motion to accept financial report given by Lora Fetzer, seconded by Donna Ditch

 

Mr. C Updates:

  • 9am-12pm practice 7/14
  • Parade 7/15 at 5:45pm; parade starts at 6:30; ends at the Drug Mart parking lot. Parade info will be sent out when received.
  • Full band camp starts next month
  • Check band schedule for events and practices after school
  • First week of band camp will go 8am-12pm that week due to Fair. This is ONLY week of Aug 2.
  • Chicken BBQ fundraiser for Florida; pre orders are taken; people come here to pick them up; first home game, and homecoming; order blank and ticket kids put name on them; prepaid orders; Barb  to assist Mr. C to chair this.

 

Old Business:

  • New website up and running. It looks great!
  • Kent still working on it adding more stuff
  • Problems with the webmaster email; use This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. until the webmaster email is fixed.
  • Practices 7/20, 7/22, 7/26, and 7/28 from 6pm-8:30pm
  • Peanut packing on 7/28 6pm-8:30pm
  • August 2, new band members 8am-12pm
  • August 3, starts full band camp

 

Fundraisers;

  • Amazone; made $460 on this fundraiser
  • Tent rentals; made $1400 on this fundraiser so far; need to be careful of rentals during football season so not to conflict with games and competitions.
  • Ice Cream Social; made $530 on this fundraiser, sold 3 tubs of ice cream and 30 pies.
  • Rally in the Alley; Cancelled this past weekend; Jeff to contact Barb Kalinowski to see if other dates are available.
  • County Fair; 8/2 – 8/8; set up volunteers should meet at band room on Saturday 7/31 at 9:00am; bring pickup trucks
  • Cavalcade notices have gone out to businesses; general mailing did not go out yet; 22 ads sold so far;
  • Volunteer opportunities are available for Fair and Cavalcade.

 

New Business:

  • Band pictures are August 19 as well as section pictures
  • Cash Cow; took vote to do this fundraiser again; in favor = majority; fundraiser to start in September
  • Malley’s; percentage to go to trip accounts? Jeff to confirm this
  • Krispie Kreme donuts; will be doing this fundraiser again this year
  • Wreaths; fundraising program information going out by August 10th. Need commitment with the company by September;
  • Tent lights; Joe to send Jeff information about making or purchasing new lights for both tents
  • Fahoom’s want to donate a golf cart to the Music Associates; needs repairs on it; and need storage for it
  • Sell old uniforms to old band members; already on the website
  • 8/2 is for new marchers- whole week 8am-12pm
