Meeting Minutes for May 2023: 

• Minutes approved (Winter, Popiel) unanimous  

Treasurer’s Report provided by Kent Davis: 

• Report Approved (Popiel, Percy) unanimous 

Music Director Report: 

• Band Camp is going great 

• DCI Trip went great 

• Introduced Zane (student teacher) 

• Wed Aug 14 Picture Day 

• Thur Aug 15 Preview Show 

• Followed up on lighthouse project – Parent donation of lumber available 

• Cavalcade is canceled  

• Band Bonfire in lieu of Calvalcade 

Fundraisers: 

• Some fair #s are in 

• Rib Fundraiser needs more student volunteers 

• Car Wash Fundraiser – Tyler supervising, equipment needed 

• Vinyl Sign missing, Winter to look for 

• Sept is Cheese/Sausage Fundraiser 

• 11/9 is Basket Auction Fundraiser 

Old Business: 

• Follow up on money received for band shed being sold 

• Clarification still needed for CMA owned property to district owned 

• Discussion of Cut-Times 

• Background checks for volunteers are the same 

New Business 

• Favalon proposed to increase cap for private lessons 6k – (Middle school students, 6 teachers) (Percy, Popiel) unanimous 

• Winter proposed new pay increase for instructional assistance (Summer sectionals and Band camp)  (Popiel, Percy) unanimous 

• Tiered program for those not on contract (1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year capped)  

• Retro-active 

• Based on 200 hours max
